What's new in Háblalo
Háblalo is in alpha: courses don't cover every level yet, and we're adding more.
Version 0.3
- New1
- Fixed1
- Dictionary
- New: In the dictionary, a word you may have meant instead, such as «el ser» beside «ser», stands under «See also» and opens its own entry.
- Conversations
- Fixed: In a conversation scene, reloading the page or losing the connection while the character answers no longer loses the answer: it is there when you come back.
Version 0.2
- New8
- Vocabulary
- New: In practice, a word's card shows its constructions: the pattern with the slot to fill, a short note and an example.
- New: A list's page shows only its words to review in one press, beside its difficult, new and mastered ones, each with its count.
- Practice
- New: After a miss in practice, each word under «Easily confused with» can be compared with the one you practice, or saved.
- Lessons
- New: A marked word in a lesson's scene now opens what it means in that line and the word it comes from, and the word being said is lit as you listen.
- New: In a speaking exercise your words appear as you say them, then notes say what to fix: a pronounced h in «hola» gets the note that Spanish h is silent.
- AI Assistant
- New: Ask the assistant where a setting is or how to change the course, the level or the menus' language: it names each button as your screen shows it.
- Dictionary
- New: The dictionary's recent words are the same on every device you sign in on: a word looked up on the phone is on the list on the computer.
- Stories
- New: On the phone, the reading options sit in one sheet, and each says what it does. A story you come back to opens at your bookmark.
Version 0.1
- New5
- Fixed3
- Settings
- New: The app itself can now be set to Spanish, alongside English and Polish.
- Dictionary
- New: A word family now shows which word each member was formed from, as a tree under its root.
- New: Under a word you now see the words it is easily confused with, one press from seeing both side by side. A word on a list opens a comparison too.
- Lessons
- New: A finished lesson tells you what you can now do, and after a break the home page says how long you were away.
- New: At the end of most lessons you can rate them and say what worked or didn't. A wrong exercise can be reported right after your answer is checked.
- Fixed: Every word a lesson teaches now joins your review when you finish it, including words that had already appeared in a story.
- The app
- Fixed: Your keyboard no longer autocorrects what you type in the language you are learning, in answers and in messages.
- Practice
- Fixed: A recording with nothing in it no longer counts as a wrong answer: the speaking exercise lets you record again.
